Fresh cut flowers in that condition will last only a day or two at most.

Answer #2
My brother shipped Mom roses from California and we live in Ohio. The stems were packed in wet clay and wrapped with plastic. He did send them UPS second day delivery.. I don't think they would last long during the warmer weather.

Answer #3
1-800-flowers does it all the time. They put a water tip on each stem and then ship the whole bouquet in styrofoam. I've gotten flowers that way and they lasted a week or two, same as florist plants do.

Answer #4
A fresh cut plant can last up to two weeks as long as it is kept between 34-40 degrees. It will need fresh water before it is sent and clip the bottom 1/8" off the stem. If it is not kept at 34-40 degrees, it wont last longer than 2 1/2 days.
