Question : Problem with my orchids?
Why won't my orchids open? Is it too much water, not enough? Too much sun, not enough? The buds have been there for over two weeks but just won't open, is it something I'm doing wrong or not doing that I should? Appreciate help from anyone who knows or grows them.one leaf on one plant turned yellow so I removed it. How often should I water and do I let them stand in or soak for 10 min's like the potting material said? These are my daughters plants and she's....forgotten all about them, so HELP I've never grown them but can't let them die! What type of fertilizer should I use, the peters I use on my other house/garden plants? Also that's the wrong web site that someong gave.whoa...no fertilizer...what about (which I just did !) sugar?

Answer #3 Are you misting the plants every day? Remember they are tropical and they like
the moisture. You can also set them on a tray of pebbles that you have covered
with water to create humidity. Temperature is also important. Okay try this
site, it has more info on watering, sunlight and fertilizer. - answered by cheyene
Answer #4 I had buds for a month before they opened. Just mist daily and water well once
each week. I also find that not fertilizing them makes them more prone to set
buds. Good luck--- - answered by connor g
