Question : Ordering flowers/plants online...?
Has anyone ever ordered flowers online? I want to send a plant (not fresh cut flowers) as a gift and want to order it online. (i.e. 1-800-flowers, proflowers, virtual florist, etc.)Have you ordered online? From where? What was the quality? Do you recommend that site?

Answer #1 We've used 1-800-flowers.com. I think that it's good: reasonable cost and
deliveries have always worked out. You could also contact a florist in the
area that you want to have the plant delivered and order "locally" online. We
have also done this and it worked out fine as well. - answered by Shibi
Answer #2 I have found the best way to order plants/flowers is to call a local florist
directly, in the town in which the recipent lives. The online ordering places
seem to have lots of charges added on to the actually price of the plant and you
never know what you'll get. However, if you call a local place you will just
get a delivery charge. And they are much more likely to make you what you want,
not just what is seen online. And local businesses are usually much more
pleasant to work with than online order companies. Just go to a place like
dexonline.com, type in floral and the city and you should get a list of local
shops. Good Luck! - answered by dodajean
Answer #3 as a florist, I am telling you the truth here.Your best bet is to call your
local florist, or if you live out of town and need to "wire" flowers to someone,
get on the internet and locate a flower shop in that area. Most if not all flower
shops will take an order using your credit card.Do not make the mistake of
putting a middle man (like 1-800) into your final sale, it will only make the
costs go up. - answered by Laurie S
Answer #4 Go to your local florist shop. They can arrange to have a live plant
arrangement delivered just the same as they can arrange to have cut flowers
delivered. Good luck with your shopping. - answered by exbuilder
