Question : Can Four o'clocks (Mirabilis jalapa) be used as cut flowers?
Can Four O'clocks be used as cut flowers or will they close up once they are cut like morning glory?

No. When the sun goes, the flowers close. Unless you have full sun inside your
home, better leave the 4 o'clocks outside.

They are excellent as a cut flower.The flowers remain closed until late
afternoon, hence the name Four-o'clock.
