Question: why is it legal to price guage during Valentine's day week, but illegal the rest of the time?

Question : why is it legal to price guage during Valentine's day week, but illegal the rest of the time?
during hurricane season, you will get arrested for charging more than market value for supplies(i.e. plywood,batteries...etc) but during the week or so surrounding Valentine's day...flower shops raise prices on roses by 5x? Wal-mart can't guage you when you want to buy the latest"got to have it" toy at christmas...

Answer #9
Price gouging is illegal and irreprehensible on necessities in a disaster.Gouging in a holiday is entreprising, but may convince you to shop elsewhere. So not gouging might bring you in extra business. Not all are gouging, you must be a bad shopper.
